- Tasted it with the 2009/19 distillery exclusive (cask 810) parallel.
It is pretty much the same as the other one - as the age, barrel, proof is matching pretty well.
This has got the same citrusy, orangey notes but the wood influence is more sophisticated in my opinion. There is more beautiful oaky, parfume cedar notes with a bit stronger smoke as well.
It needs a bit water to opens up, neat a bit hard to approach to me.
The finish is long, dry oaky with citruses.
This expression do not develope haze/cloudyness with water.
- Well, I did like the 2008 vintages but this one is too one-dimensional. It is very ashy and salty. Not as clean as the 2008 vintages but maybe I have to taste those again and did I overrated them. One glass of this stuff is very nice to try, but I will not buy a whole bottle.
Earthy peat, anchovies, citrus, vanilla, ash and some plasticine.
Vanilla, citrus, plasticine, ash, earthy peat.
Very dry, short, salty, ashy, citrus, earthy peat
Rubber / plastic, smoke, seaweed, olives ...
Surprisingly sweet then dry, a little sickening
