Comes in a very impressive box that lights up

Nose: toasted coconut, chocolate brazils, dr pepper, mastic, anzac biscuits, coffee grounds, cassia bark, orchid root, date syrup and garam masala
Palate: thick, oily, chewy, vanilla, bisongrass, black treacle, darrel lea liquorice, kola nut, black cumin and grass jelly
Finish: dunnage warehouse, mucking out a stable, toasted mustard seeds

With water, parkin and barra brith

Tasted as part of Southport Whisky Club Grand Dramming #7 with Fi Shoop.

The most well rounded, delicately smokey and full bodied single malt I've had in a long long time. The tropical fruity notes on the nose and spiciness on the finish, differentiates this from other single malts. The fact that the launch of this expression coincides with one of the most historic occasions for the mankind is a big bonus.

Gentle peatieness greets the nose and preps it for the abundantly fragrant tropical fruity & floral notes that follows. There is an ever so slight hint of honey but in no way does it overwhelm the tropical notes.
    • Taste
      97 97
Very oily, thick & viscous with bold woodiness and subtly peated mouthfeel. Second sip brings forth the fruits and dark chocolate notes. Surprisingly easy to drink without adding water. Everything seems to be well balanced and in perfect synchrony. No one flavor dominates the other and resultant harmony should leave you grinning from ear to ear.
    • Finish
      98 98
Here the peppery spices make their appearance but in perfectly harmonious way. The smokiness from the peat, the chewy oak and tropical fruitiness lets the Christmas spices & peppery notes to lead them to a perfect crescendo that lingers for a really really longtime.

soft and malty in taste with aromas of cocoa, salted almonds and sweet oak. Long and spicy finish. Blissful whisky

I really enjoy this whisky. Aroma is warm and rich with a grapey-syrupy-meets-vanilla-taffy note that emerges as it opens; Palate Is almost two tones of smoke and grapey dark fruit sweetness with all the other notes sandwiched in between; Finish hits a long elegant stride and keeps the sweet and smoky party going.

N- Lets try some exquisite limited released from PJ. Vatted from 3 barrels (unknown types) for 325 bottles, only available at Goa as it says. Dried fruits and brandy soaked raisin rules the initial stage with floral and rum sweetness, pungent hot milky chocolate, fig and hawthorn. Appeared stiff and locked tight by the strength. Will benefit with airing time, elegant liquorice emerged, as well sugar coated spicy dried ginger strips, white fruits, pleasant sweet rubber scents and clove, show good agility and smells just delicious. (92/23)

P- Oak-y bitter chocolate, pinch of salt and mineral for umami to shows, as well the distant smokes. Raw spices dryness echoing with the oak with fruity liquorice. (87/21)

F- Medium-long, chewy, dry and spicy with tinge of bitter chocolate, molasses, herbs and gingery. (87/21)

    Body/Balance- 88/22
