Pity! I liked the aroma very much, unfortunately afterwards it constantly degraded. Nonetheless, an honest, pleasant and personable whisky with no frills.
    • Nose
      84 84
Light fruits, vanilla, nice floral, light tangy citrus notes, fresh grain, some caramel, vanilla cream, some sugar sweetness, light fresh pear. Beautiful and surprisingly diverse!
    • Taste
      82 82
Pleasant and soft, vanilla, delicately tart and spicy wood, somewhat musty, somewhat floral, wet wood, slightly tart, musty herbal note.
    • Finish
      80 80
Very flat, dry, slightly tart, clear tendency towards bitterness.

When he was only 25, James Grant inherited the Grant whisky distillery in Rothes from his uncle. James, also known as the Major, was innovative. Glen Grant was the first distillery to use electric light. And James himself was the first proud car owner in the Scottish Highlands.
The 10-year-old standard bottling matured entirely in bourbon barrels.
    • Nose
      80 80
      Dry with fruits and spices.
    • Taste
      81 81
Intense fruity note with almonds and nuts.
    • Finish
      80 80
Medium long and soft again with nuts and almonds.

A whisky whose characteristics are consistent from start to finish. It is good for making daily whisky or highball because it has no disadvantages at a low price. I'd rather buy this than Bellz or Valentine's.
    • Nose
      80 80
A slight alcohol booze and the sweet taste of fruit are persistent. Over time, you can feel the scent of vanilla. Feels a bit salty
    • Taste
      81 81
It has a light sweet taste that lingers in the mouth. It is not burdensome and goes around in the mouth as light as water.
    • Finish
      81 81
Malt whisky has a distinctive barley flavor when you pass it, but its flavor is weak. You can also feel the refreshing apple taste. The tongue has a slightly artificial syrupy feel, but the characteristic is weak.

Unpretentious whisky. Nothing terrible but very easily bypassed.
    • Nose
      79 79
Very cereal, very young. A little green. Immature. Fresh apple, brioche, cinnamon.
    • Taste
      80 80
Mouth easier. Fluid, sweet, on baked apple, vanilla, cinnamon. Dry, bitter herbs, a little vodka.
    • Finish
      78 78
Short finish, quite bitter, on herbs, grains.

    Appearance: Pale to medium golden.

Nose: Simple. Vanilla, barley sugar, light apple or pear, caramel. Light pineapple, wax, green olives.

Palate: Sweet vanilla, cream, toffee, barley cookies, light oak and cardboard. Almonds. Lemon.

Finish: Bit of oak, honey, sugar, vanilla. Short to medium.

Overall: A young, simple whisky with bourbon barrel character that is tasty and inoffensive but extremely simple and not really worth it when compared to other young whisky I have have had for similar prices.
