Sweet like confectionary sweet. You get some fruits on the nose, but only with water. Strawberries with powdered sugar. Perhaps even Jordan almonds.
Again sweet, but not as much as on the nose. Nutty. Milk chocolate. Almonds. With water, opens up nicely considering the original high abv. A touch of fresh fruit, but still heavy on the carmel and syrup. I don’t know this for sure, but possibly a PX cask by taste. Less dried fruits, more chocolate creamy sweetness.
The peat shows up in the end, like the HP 18 OB but the taste is fuller, “wider” than that bottling. Sweeter as well. But I did finally recognize this as an HP near the finish.
Leathery, a touch of cigar roll. A touch of umami/dunnage. Just a touch. Long lingering finish. Orcadian peat is present here as well.
