Pleasant, sweet and spicy but too sour for me

The nose is very interesting and I like it a lot. At first tender, the fruit components show up quite clearly over time. The coconut as well as the cherry and strawberry impressions are concise and pleasant in taste. It is not very complex now, but it has nice flavors and is very tasty in its own way. The price of over € 100 to € 120 is unfortunately very high for a NAS, a fact that unfortunately applies to most Japanese bottlings.

The color in the glass is a rich yellow gold - unfortunately the malt is colored and cool-filtered. Wide tears move in manageable numbers and speed down the edge of the glass. At the beginning a delicate, not intrusive nose - very Japanese polite. Then it becomes significantly fruity. Light fruits such as ripe green apples and peaches and apricots show up. There is also something flowery in the glass. After a while, red fruits such as cherries and strawberries from the Bordeaux barrel influence follow. There is also a good smell of vanilla. In the background there is an aromatic spiciness from the oak barrels - whether this is due to the partially used mizunara barrels?

The malt starts with a very creamy, soft mouthfeel. Sweet cherry and strawberry sauces are immediately present in the taste. Milk chocolate and desiccated coconut follow and act as a counterpart to the fruity side. Pleasant, not too hot ginger seasoning and cinnamon can be tasted at the same time. The vanilla from the nose is also omnipresent.

Overall, the finish is rather medium in length. There is a very slight bitter note, more like a white coffee with vanilla and light peach fruitiness. A little cinnamon and nutmeg is also present at the end.

I wasn't allowed to taste a lot of Japanese, so I was looking forward to it.
