Whisky Reviews for Big Peat The Budapest Edition
2 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 88.25 points
- Kind of a one-trick pony, this one. With the intense maritime peat smoke, loads of seaweed and the iodine it successfully works as the young phenolic monster, which it is. Just enough maltiness and body to balance the astringency of the smoke. Frankly, it's nothing to write home about, but generally it's nicely done.
- Bit better and different than the NAS and the Hungarian Edition. 87/88.
Fruits, camphor, salted minerals, peat, bacon, iodine and seaweed.
Powerful. Fruits, malt, peat and smoke, pepper and salted caramel.
Medium length, salty, smoky.
