Nice sherry malt with a harmonious, interesting nose. The palate does not really disappoint, but it doesn’t bring anything new and only continues the nose slightly weaker.

More fruity with spices than a sweet sherry malt. Grapes, plums, figs,
In addition, some marzipan and cloves with a nice spice note. There is also a rum-nut chocolate and some old leather in the background. Great, varied aromas, all of which are lightly perfumed. Looks a bit artificial but also somehow good and interesting. Alcohol is barely noticeable. Water brings out a few toasted aromas here.

Ok, on the palate, the alcohol is already pushing forward a lot. Hot chilli, oak seasoning. A little dry, fruity sherry, plum jam, figs, orange peel with chocolate and leather determine the first impression.
In addition, there is some malt that frames the whole thing. There are also some roasted nuts. Water attenuates the sharpness quite well, but otherwise doesn't bring out much that is new.

Long finish, tingling, spicy, some coffee with a light grain note, almost flowery-floral. Nice conclusion

      8 // 5.5

Comes in nutty, sweet, and HOT. Marzipan, cinnamon knots, potpourri, and waxed fruit. // Water doesn't help the nose, surprisingly. A couple of sturdy dashes only accentuate the youthful, impetus booziness. It also brings out an odd, out-of-place savoriness. Still spice, but in the realm of marjoram or cardamom or bay leaf.

      5.5 // 5

Strong stuff, strong enough that all that comes through at first is spice and a distant maltiness. The finish is loaded though... // I'm not going to say this is irredeemable -- amongst other things, I think it would make a DARN fine highball -- but adding water, again and again and yet again, never dampens the sharpness. It does allow me to actually taste the stuff though, so thanks for that! But the taste is that of an unrefined brawler, like an American Texas malt or somesuch. All the benefit is reserved for that toasty-roasty finish.

      8 // 8

Here's the actual flavor and, no surprise, it's a spice bomb oatmeal cookie. // My favorite part of the whisky, other than the raw, cask-strength nose. The spice and light toast hinting at cereal and warming tingle just lasts ages.
