It exactly meets my taste. A varied, dense sniff whisky in which all flavors are wonderfully integrated. Already very well ripened with a concentrated-sweet fruitiness, which is underlined by charming oak spices and enlivened by fine bitter, sour and fresh-tangy accents. That gives a complex overall picture. Everything is very flattering. If I were more talented at describing my perception on the palate, there would certainly be much more, I can only say that the whisky in the mouth does exactly what the nose promises. Great stuff!

Right from the start, it seems interwoven and complex to me. The beautiful deep amber tone suggests a refill sherry barrel, and that's how it smells. There are dry, tart notes, unripe walnuts and bitter almonds. Then a potpourri of boiled or partly candied fruits: sweet gold kiwis, candied pineapple, apricots and pears, definitely bananas - via pear and banana I come in the direction of “pear drops”. But also tart black currants (in the form of a jelly) and crunchy, sweet and sour apples shine through in the background. Earthy-loamy forest soil. I have liquorice, candied ginger, coconut oil, turmeric and sugar-cinnamon on the flattering wood-spicy side. The oak has that great "sunlit" scent that I like to smell in the summer forest. Dark, silky caramel and turrón promise a full-bodied and full-bodied body. Refreshing accents come through again and again, maybe something like green leaves. And it also looks tangy at times, like a sparkling Riesling. The aromas offer a lively, harmonious interplay, it never gets boring.

Tart and spicy oak with a smooth mouthfeel. The alcohol is well integrated. It looks tart and sour, here I can feel the sherry influence. Green aspects against a toasty and roasted background. From then on it gets sweeter and goes in the direction of toffee, vanilla, but also milk coffee sprinkled with cocoa. I also find the beautiful fruitiness here again.

Directly warming. Very fine and filigree, all aromas end in a beautiful harmony. A thick, creamy, fruity-vanilla melt remains on the tongue. The oak spiciness is clearly noticeable, but always remains pleasant and mild, never becomes bitter or biting. I feel it in the middle.

In between times it has a special sweetness that lets the Sherry Hogshead shine through for a brief moment, but I would not have recognized it blindly. Ultra-clean single malt, whose grassy notes are reminiscent of the old days.

Ah, a freshly mown meadow - rather, THE freshly mown meadow from County Louth. Hasn't been in the glass for a long time. There are those who start with a fruit compote in the nose, and there are those who start the journey in a meadow. In addition to the meadow, the fresh hay, there are spicy accents of marjoram, chervil and savory, cinnamon and coriander removed. Fresh green sprigs of milk chocolate flavored with pepper. Here some almond butter, there a few hazelnuts. Notes of dry white wine. Develops very nicely over time in the glass and is very aromatic.

Strong, dry and spicy start with a good portion of walnuts and almonds, bedded on fresh hay with a high proportion of wild herbs. Well-stored oak planks, spicy with pepper, savory and chervil. The spices come in waves, while the dry wood on the one hand and the fresh hay and wild herbs on the other form a constant basis. Vanilla, honey, sugar beet syrup, a hint of caramel, café au lait.

Medium long and dry, still spicy. Slowly ends with more walnuts and almonds, vanilla, honey and white chocolate. Soft toffee, malt.
