scbp-7531, compared with the forty-five-degree old wine that was completely defeated in the same period, the standard of Longmorn should not be the only one.
    • Nose
      88 88
Silly white and sweet as canned fruit syrup. Old books, syrup grapefruit, caramel, cream, juniper berries. Wake up after a while, the vanilla cream scent becomes more dominant. 88
    • Taste
      86 86
The taste is light and firm. Start with light-sweetened orange and grapefruit pulp, and high-sweet temperate fruits lay the top notes. The mid-end performance is slightly less, with grass, barley sugar, caramel, cream, light and slightly irritating, full of old-fashioned, but full Surprisingly flavored sweet tea, Luoshen fruit, has a strong association with rose finishing and blueberry flower nectar tea. Slightly grassy, but closed with Basil. The taste is not as strong as the flavor, with white traces. The wine is weak, the fat flavor is full, and the irritation is weak, but only the taste is light and the flavor rises. p88b85

Green grass, barley sugar, licorice, slightly tannin, slightly pharmacy smell, slightly oxidized old wine temperament, more astringent. 86

Greatness in a bottle. Tropical party with mango and pineapple, pappaya. Chocolate. Apple. Citrus of all kind.
The body is thick and the finish is endless.
    Superb

Finished a bottle, must admit it will decay over time.
    • Nose
Quite rich sherry and apricot jams, some tropical fruits, waxes, an exquisite nose, a balanced and classic Longmorn 69.
    • Taste
Dried pears, sherry, rich bodied, tropical fruits, apricot jam, balanced and rich.
    • Finish
      Sweet, overripe pineapple.

Nose: Rich mango sauce with a lot of mature oak and jasmine in the background. These are the main notes that can be easily captured in the first time. However, he is far from as simple as I described. In fact, he has higher complexity and good expressive power. Lemon, orange peel, vanilla, and more white floral fragrances. The overall performance is absolutely outstanding.

Drink: The wine is thick and full, with a touch of soap, floral, salty citrus, dried peaches, dried apricots, and dried passion fruit, but the final rhyme drops quickly, and the pleasure can be directly delivered to you.

Overall: Of course it's good, but it's not good.

    Colour:
    Full of gold
    Nose:
Leather, honey and vanilla in perfect harmony! In addition toffee, wood, cotton candy, brown rock sugar, fine liquid honey, mild spice and tea aromas of the best quality. Fruit accents in connection with an ingenious freshness, as well as soft butter flakes on fresh white bread, but also with the metallic character of tinplate - what a crazy combination and in a perfect way!
    Taste:
Soft, spicy and bold! Teen notes with wood, fruit, sherry, honey, vanilla, dark fruit concentrate of currants, some leather and tart herbs - wow, brilliant!
    Finish:
Long - spicy and just fruity and tasty. Herbs, wood, fruit, tea, vanilla, honey and the finest flavor! The finest fruit jam with a delicious finish

Restrained sherry is very good, and not thin at 45%. Great whisky!
    • Nose
Honey, milk caramel, vanilla, citruses, forest fruits and earth.
    • Taste
Powerful and oily. Matured oak, pepper and ginger. Tropical fruits and milk caramel.
    • Finish
      Long, bittersweet, dry.

This is better than any of the old heavily sherried Longmorns, excellent.

Lovely stuff, heard a lot of positive comments about this one, they are all correct.
    • Nose
A very nice toffee and cram combo here but hang on some grapefruit in the mix too (can that be right?)

Gets fruitier in the glass with a little plum, orange chocolate, I think there will be some fruit on the palate is the nose is anything to go by.It develops in the glass with some Turkish Delight notes coming in and  yet more grapefruit.
    • Taste
Grapefruit again but its sweet grapefruit, a little toffee and some oaky bitterness which makes it drying on the palate.Caramel, toffee but there is also some ginger spice and other spices in the mix, for 43% this is just about right, not underpowered in any way.
    • Finish
Good medium length with a sweet creamy toffee finish, possibly a little tangerine at the end.

One of the best, maybe thè best Longmorn ever bottled. For sure, the best Longmorn I`ve ever had. Super fruity profile, that has a lot more to offer, really an impressive complexity.

  18. magic_slim scored this whisky 93 points Connoisseur

One of the best whiskies in the world.
    • Nose
Intensively fruity - mangos and blackberries. Cake mixture with almond milk and finest bourbon vanilla. So beautiful and balanced.
    • Taste
Smooth with oaky vanilla and canned fruit cocktail (litchis, pears, apricots, oranges). Complex oakiness plus toffee and slightly resinous notes. An absolute stunner.
    • Finish
Very long and warming with mild oak and slightly dry. A never ending beauty.
