Whisky Reviews for Mortlach 1989 BA

- I would definitely buy again, a real sniff whisky.
Caramel, a touch of vanilla, raisins, sweet sherry, fantastic nose.
typical sherry taste, was almost too long in the sherry barrel, he goes easily into woody or dark chocolate.
Finish: medium, would have a more dominant of the many sherry. longer departure expected. He tolerates little or no water, he is then very neutral almost watery.
- The strength of these whiskys is greatly drinkable, even without dilution, the viper is not open and strong in the keg force, so I would not personally recommend thinning. Together with GlenDronach 1989 20y Pedro Ximenez Sherry Puncheon, this is the best sherry style I've ever tasted.
Aroma beautifully sweetish. Molasses, caramel, chocolate, a little bit of masox and spice, the impression of coffee tones, a lot of sweet sherry. Fantastic viper. (93 b)
On the tongue of a slightly sweetish sherry, but it is still in dry style. By adding water the flavor is palatable, but other taste impressions are thin. I have tried either to avoid or to do very slightly. (88 b)
