I am not a big fan of Arran Small Batch editions but I liked this one.
    • Nose
      84 84
Initially honey (2-3 different types), light and sweet vanilla, jelly sweets, a whiff of peat, then honey again and some fresh citrus notes emerge with milk chocolate & whole hazelnuts. It brings out the chocolate and vanilla with water.
    • Taste
      85 85
Peat and wood come in, with caramellised sugar, sour notes, alcohol is a bit harsh first; then it brings some vanilla from the nose and some herbal notes (is it?). With water: Sweet woody and spicy character.
    • Finish
      85 85
Alcohol becomes smooth; herbal tones and light smoke.
