The whisky has virtually no distinctive taste, it is flat, slightly spritty and can be traced back to its origin as an admixture to a
Don't hide glare. Nose and finish are virtually non-existent.

N: light red apples with a bed of straw, hints of all spice
P: more of a green apple, with some ground nutmeg
F: Pleasant resolve of the palate

This is pleasing for an inexpensive bottle but if you really are looking for something that is outstanding, you'll need to venture elsewhere.

On the nose you mainly smell flowers and fruit. But the spices also provide stimulating nostrils.

I can't get more out of it so I take a first sip.

I forget to roll it through my curiosity and get an unwise sip of pepper and other spices. Holy moly I hadn't expected that sharply. 1 thing is 100% sure. This is a spicy whisky!

2nd sip. Well take all corners of the tongue.

I taste wood, orange, vanilla, and the fruity and floral comes up. Quite a nice whisky actually!

The aftertaste is long and warm due to all the "spicyness" that are in this whisky, but also very dry.

Family, Duty, Honor. The great house of Tully is seated in Riverrun. Let's see if this fish swims well...

Wooden barn, cork and hay. Sweet and warm caramels with a little honey. Cottoncandy and some creamy sauce.
    • Taste
      75 75
Orange skin, lemons and apples. The spicy side of wood. This feels like young whisky matured in a very small cask. Maximum wood influence in as little time as possible. This gives a lot of dryness for a fish to feel at home.
    • Finish
      74 74
A peppery finish with woodspices. Watery and thin without a good body. Still too much wood for this fish to swim well.

  7. thijs100 scored this whisky 76 points Connoisseur

    • Nose
Overripe red apple parts, with hints of fudge, and a touch of heather and straw. A whiff of milk chocolate and mint maybe. Slightly flat, with a dirty edge.
    • Taste
Plenty of caramel, vanilla and a whiff of brown sugar, with a hint of char and bitter oak, as well as cloves. Quite watery.
    • Finish
      Lingering spices. Medium in length.
