T: Sweet and peppery with an acute ethanol attack. Add water for a softer, oily creaminess coupled with the sauternes sweetness. Its very sweet - initially too much but that sweetness peaks quickly and subsides in tandem with the ethanol intensity. Good mouthfeel with water too but it always gets hot regardless. Improves with every sip.
F: Bitter/sweet and lingering. A varied jamboree of bitter/sweet sugars come through. A colourful and bizarre oily, sugary, sour cream ending
C: Sauternes finishes are always hit in miss in my book. This one is a successfful one but not without its issues. Theres a confusion between the sugars verses the oily, sour peatiness, creating an 'odd' result. Really good in places but also a tad cloying and tiring.
