- - Special bottling of the still for the Europa Tour 2018
- a classic smoking / bourbon barrel storage
- succeeded quite well even without age
- significantly better than some smoky standard bottlings
from various other representatives of this island
- but for the current price of 100 € significantly above
shot the target (at least in terms of taste, to
Everyone has to rate collecting himself)
intense strong smoke, light sweetness, alcohol well integrated, with water a little lemon is added
a burning sensation on the lips and tongue, tingling, then a strong smoky start, classic ash smoke (goes in the direction of Ardbeg, Caol Ila), oak
more oak and less smoke in the taste, spice, youth (but not unpleasant) citrus, remains quite strong in character, classic combination of smoke and sweetness
medium-long smoky finish;
medium-long smoky- somewhat sweet aftertaste
- Sweet, vanilla, smoke ;-)
I only had better malts in a jar today, but that shouldn't make any difference. I would pour it myself or order it in the bar if the opportunity arises.
Sweet, vanilla, smoke, so very straightforward Ex-Bourbon Kilchoman, slightly grassy, like a sweetened herbal tea, the smoke is dry and slightly sour, a breeze of cinnamon
Sweet, vanilla, smoke, really sweet, yellow fruit, creamy, overripe peach, here also quite straightforward, intense, you can still notice the youth, but it is good to drink and offers what you expect here
ashy smoke, drier mouthfeel, vanilla, slightly metallic
- color: pale gold
grassy peat , wet rocks , ash , beeswax ,white fruits , vanilla and some citrus fruits
heavy peat but also sweet , white fruits , gras , burned oak , some notes of granny smith appels and some pears , honey and vanilla
short to medium finish ash , oak , vanilla and white fruit
- A good Kilchoman - especially for the European Tour 2018 published!
voluminous, full of aromas of smoke, ash, sweet honey, some citrus, creamy vanilla;
extremely intense, sweet, smoky onset, bourbon flavors, vanilla, caramel, charcoal, cold ash, pepper;
almost long, sweet, smoky; Aftertaste ash, pepper;

Vatting of 5 casks, not the same as the 46% Machir Bay.
Comment: high abv% but very full mouth coating feeling. But with some rougher edges of the younger whisky.
Peanut, peat, salty
Peatsmoke, vanilla, light spices, quite mouth coating for whisky at this age. Here and there some rougher edges from the younger spirit
Mouth coating, peatsmoke, vanilla. After 10 minutes again some mouth coating peatsmoke which I do like!
