On the second tasting, fennel, hops, applesauce and Martinelli‘s, then some candles and lotion; waxed wood, vanilla cream soda, and something a bit vegetal. Then, caramel creams and crème brûlée. Honeys and hops come in waves with a bit of banana bread in the background Manuka honey and some small pink flowers. Oxidation has brought out more honeyed, caramel, and some deeper notes.
With water, rye and caraway and a bit of wax, like claim wish. Caramel, deeper floral notes of rose oil or some thing. It’s hoppy too, almost some hemp, honey. With more water: coffee and some sourness more hemp, raspberries and roses. Aged vanilla beans.
malty, some hops and honey, caraway, rye. Pebbly a big burst of Ale-y hoppy floral sweetness. Very malty. With water more mild a bit of stone fruit, oily rock dust. With water the Chichibu distillate emerges much more a bit of that powdery pebbly slightly floral or perfumed background to it.
round, malty, a bit of beers and honey, some vanilla, oily and long. With water it adds rounded pineapple and dried mango notes to the finish
