STRATHISLA 13 YEARS 2004 CASK STRENGTH 56.9%
56.9% vol. 35 cl
SPEYSIDE SINGLE MALT
Single barrel n ° 47 932 of 500 L which gave 454 L at 56.9 ° corresponding to 1296 bottles of 35cl. Aged in Sherry Butt casks of 1st filling.
Bottled at natural grade (cask raw), unfiltered, without any additions, according to the recommendation of Master Blender Sandy HYSLOP.
Distilled in a gas still on June 4, 2004 at the Strathisla Distillery in the Speyside Valley.
A first nose with notes of Christmas cake, grapes, caramel, hazelnuts and maple syrup.
On the palate, the rich and warm balance reveals a harmony of aromas of hazelnuts, marzipan and Smyrna grape, enhanced by a flavor of dark chocolate fondant and orange zest.
A long finish, remarkably sweet and spicy.
Tasting: to be enjoyed at room temperature, dry. Let it open.
Pairing: goes with a 36 month Comté or aged Cheddar or a pata negra iberico. A chocolate cake subtly blends with the nutty notes of this 2004 Strathisla.
