Whisky Reviews for Linkwood 1991 GM

- Nice dram. The body is complex, sweet and dry at the same time which teases my senses. Long delicious finish.
Dried fig, raisin, apple, hazelnut and caramel. With water there's apple and tangerine.
Caramel, date, mocha and raisin. Water adds apple.
More nutty. Still date and raisin.
- Excellent, full sherry matured malt
(neat) some red wine, cherry, wax and leather, bananas, walnuts
(water) grapes, winy, cooked peaches, nutty
(neat) sour-sweet, lots of fruits, balanced oak, touch of saltiness
(water) old wood, old spices, mixed dried fruits, marzipan, very nice and measured taste, proper matured
Sweet and sour, long lingering finish, some salt and spices
- Nice nose, long finish but the palate is sherry overtaken with some sulphury notes, not bad but not my style of whisky. Interesting to try but I would never buy a whole bottle.
