Colour: yellow gold
A solid dram, which may be expected from Tomatin, but not spectacular. Malty, green, and a bit of sour/unripe fruit.
Solid, malty and a bit green, where the wood has done its work quite well already. I get a cereal-based backbone of barley, buttered toast, vanilla, grass, mint, kiwi and gooseberry.
Quite well balanced, medium bodied, malty and fruity. Honeyed malt with yogurt, toast, vanilla, danish pastry, kiwi, apricot, green banana, mint, and some spice from the wood.
Moderate, a little fading into nothing if you ask me... It's still malty, yes, spicy from the wood, but that's most of what I get. It's not bad, neither is it spectacular.
