TOO HERBAL AND THE MISSING NOTES IN THE FINISH TAKE ADDITIONAL USE,

  3. TomAndIngrid scored this whisky 78 points Expert Senior

Easy to drink, but rather boring. No serious missing notes.

    A sample from ronnholt.
Some re-branding happened here. I have not tried this since it came in a tin tube.
You will probably struggle to find a cheaper single malt, still I have kept passing this one after my first bottle.
    Drinkable, but rather dull.
    • Nose
      84 84
The nose is the best about this whisky.
Light and fruity on apples and peach.
A nice perfume character without being artificial.
    • Taste
      79 79
      Soft and light on arrival.
A little thin, but there is a pinch of spice in there.
Some barley sugar, but blind I would have guessed it also had a fair bit of grain.
    • Finish
      75 75
Fades rather quickly without much a-do.
That said, there's neither anything wrong or offending.

  5. tobiasz scored this whisky 74 points Expert Senior

A bit watery. Nothing special about that whisky.

  6. SpeyburnClanGermany did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

    • Nose
Sticky peach, pear, vanilla mango and kiwi, nice grassy note, light smoke and pear compote in the background.
..... fruitiness then decreases somewhat, grass takes 100% Speyburn home game
    • Taste
      Strong caramel
Delicious "by the way" whisky. For concerts. Or campfire.
    • Finish
The finish is short and tasty

  7. DistiLesha scored this whisky 63 points Expert Senior

An exclusively cocktail drink, there is no interest in drinking in its pure form.

    • Nose
Barley porridge, beer, sour mash, wormwood
    • Taste
Harsh, acetylene, disgusting, tastes like a blend you drink with grain alcohol
    • Finish
      a little woody, grain alcohol

  8. ishi scored this whisky 82 points Member Senior

Dusty, pears, light pickles, dry gingerbread. Caramel, harsh.

  9. Malzbrenner scored this whisky 82 points Connoisseur

Easy drinking whisky without blemish and blame. Very easy to access, tastes clean and pleasing. Class for beginners and with a great price-performance ratio!

A little artificial bitterness in the end, not much taste but good enough, wood and small hints of fruit, a bit salty.
It's a mix whisky in my opinion.

    Bought for € 19,95.- (2019)

    Score :
    00-59 : Mix it.
60-69 : Drink it, not buying it.
70-79 : Good enough for a fair price.
80-89 : Whisky's I like to drink, recommend and would like to keep in stock.
90-99 : Something special, something that I cherish and only drink when the time is right.
    100 : Not possible.

Very nice whisky for its price
    • Nose
      90 90
      Citrus, Apple, Fruity...
    • Taste
      70 70
Typical NAS whisky. A bit pepper, fresh, fruity, a nice starter for a whisky tasting
    • Finish
      65 65
Short, a bit dry, a bit pepper, a bit citrus...

  12. EnjoyLife89 scored this whisky 45 points Expert Senior

Can you already drink? That's ok for this price, but expectations should not be too high
    • Nose
Slightly sweet, some fruit, alcohol. Reminds something about Obstler
    • Taste
Milder than Obstler, alcohol remains light, some fruit, some malt. After that nothing
    • Finish
In short, fruit, alcohol and gone

  13. Dre73 scored this whisky 78 points Connoisseur

Very easy and accessible whisky, acceptable based on its price.
    • Nose
      79 79
Fruity, light, some citrus, and pears. Not very complex.
    • Taste
      78 78
Just a little pepper, pretty weak and pale, easy and fruity. Citrus en pear again.
    • Finish
      77 77
pretty short and pale, with again some of the fresh fruits remaining.

  14. Tom na Gruagaich scored this whisky 75 points Connoisseur

solid thing in the entry-level NAS class. Can you drink well, but nothing to break your head.
    • Nose
You notice the youthful, strong fruity, a little more New Make Association, the fruits are a little pear, also a hint of citrus, actually a little peach, a little malt, a touch of yeast and a little vanilla.
    • Taste
light, a bit thin, some pepper, a little bit metallic,
    • Finish
slight bitterness, short, some fruit, some malt, a hint of mint.

  15. J.K.Ch scored this whisky 75 points Expert Senior

Well, it's the kind of whisky you can take to a party and you will not be sorry to disappear, but at the same time you will not mind having to drink it. And if it is possible to get it under 600 CZK. That's how I sometimes do :)
    • Nose
Sweet sour perhaps with a hint of vinegar. But otherwise white wine, fruit and camphor, and woody spices.
    • Taste
Pretty smooth, acidic, but thank God not for vinegar. Somewhat oily. Easier easier.
    • Finish
A bit tough, fruity-irony and short.
