A round, soft and creamy whisky with interesting, clearly recognizable coffee and chocolate / cocoa notes with a good dose of spices (the finish is very interesting in that respect). I like it a lot because it's very special and tasty for me.

The chocolate malt is doing quite well. In total, however, the whisky goes for my taste in an overly floral, floral, fruit-caramel candy direction. It seems artificial and fake to me somehow. Why is that? Difficult to say, I suspect it is partly due to the very young whiskys, which, given the lack of age, are certainly mixed with under. I had tried this whisky once individually, because it looked rather old and set to me. Another day I tried it after a very flat 15 year old Deanston Organic and although the 15 Deanston Organic is one of the most boring whiskys in the world, the Signet suddenly felt a lot of metallic youth. This is a very typical effect if you try whiskys upside down (first old, then young - just try it out). Therefore, I guess maybe a lot more youth than the good barrel selection would suggest.
That would all be fine now if the price was not beyond good and bad. Well over 100 € is pretty outrageous, especially since I couldn't see anything that justifies this price. There is something there? Well then please write it on it ...

One of my best drops tasted so far, price fully justified. Dark and complex, including sherry, mocha, tiramisu, bitter orange and spice. Takes a lot of time in the glass and then another 45 minutes to approximate everything. Glenmorangie at its best
