- SMWS Tasting Notes: The nose was like being greeted by an overly enthusiastic old friend with open arms and a keen smile. Clouds of strong perfume rolled forth with a heavy lavender influence that mingled with bundles of delicate fruit as peaches, plums and apricots combined. The sweetness swayed into coconut with milk chocolate buttons and a drizzle of cherry liqueur, whilst marzipan turned into full-blown Battenberg cake with just a drop of water. Spicy chilli introduced an ever-present crisp edge incorporating green peppers with apples fallen onto a freshly-cut lawn and traditional lemonade to offer a fresh dose of zing. Cereal notes and butterscotch rounded off the journey joined at the very end by mushy marshmallow and polished wood.
