Pale straw shimmers in the premium snifter, light toffee and creamy milk chocolate rise gently while minimally smoky notes come into play. Sweet fruit aromas are timid on the nose, a hint of apricot and mirabelle are added. Malty grain notes play with grassy and floral elements, vanilla and caramelized sugar dominate at the moment over the initial fruit sweetness.
Sweetness flashes briefly, the strathisla flows gently through the mouth before suddenly peppery heat sets in on the tongue and gently massages the tongue and cheeks. Caramel, a hint of chocolate, sugar and minimally spicy wood tones rest on the palate with increasing warmth. The second sip gently flows through the mouth, little by little white pepper trickles onto the tongue and leaves a subtly sharp and spicy film on the tongue. The saliva is briefly stimulated, then the intense aromas fade away and the aftertaste announces itself with toffee, vanilla and creamy wood tones.
Spicy wood tones, in combination with vanilla, sugar and hints of hazelnuts and walnuts, rest on the palate briefly and oily before the aftertaste fades away relatively quickly.
