This is certainly an enjoyable (Glenmorangie) whisky. Not as strong as one might expect from a >60% whisky. Fruity, some sweet notes.
    • Nose
      85 85
Fruituness, citrus, some prunes. Alcohol is very prominent in the nose and stings pretty much. Also some sweetness, a lot of caramel and butter.
    • Taste
      86 86
Fruity and some caramel. Initially surprisingly smooth for its Abv, but then some tingling mouthfeel arrives. Red fruits and some milk chocolate, orange too.
    • Finish
      84 84
Now things really get a lot smoother, still pretty full body. Some fruitiness with a bitter note underneath, some caramel. Middle long finish.

    Nice Glenmorangie. But not more.
He definitely needs time. Good 15 to 30 minutes, then he gets better.
    • Nose
      83 83
Despite the high level of alcohol a pleasant nose. The sweetness of the red wine barrel comes over well. But still goes in the direction of strawberry boule.
With water, the direct alcohol note decreases, but it develops a splashing a la sparkling wine.
After some time, there is also some earthiness / mustiness.
    • Taste
      84 84
      The strawberry sweetness remains.
In addition there are cherries, some lemon and heather
    • Finish
      81 81
      Dry medium-long finish.

    Not for scaredy rabbits.

The drop has a official start. With a little water and 15 minutes in the air but really a great malt.

Classic moor grass notes from HP. I like it very much.
