First thought ... some smoke and dried fruit.
A pleasant, solid smoky note. Some glue and apricot jelly. A sweetish wood aroma. He's getting sweeter, somehow. Sugared plum, honey, a trace of leather and some rubber duck. The nose is very full, sweet and thick. But not pushy. A fresh mint is in the background. The alcohol is almost not noticeable. A minimal, sourish fruit note stands further back.
Oily, peppery onset. In the taste more herbs. Some coconut. In the taste also more oak. In the form of nutty bitterness and some chocolate. Again and again the pepper appears and spices the thing. Goes more towards bright fruit and grapes. Has a slightly tart white wine stain. I find the nose much sweeter than the taste. The second sip of more grain. Sweet licorice. The smoke recedes and comes through only as roasted aromas.
Medium. Peppery and oily. Oak with its bitterness. A hint of smoke and at the end comes sticky sweetness.
