...finally I do not care. This is a fine grain whisky without any flaw and that is easy to drink. A clear recommendation to all lovers of grain (unfortunately, I am a malt head only).
The colour is old gold and the nose offers the typical fruity-mashy-solvent grain profile without obvious flaws. It is very fine for a grain - provided you like grain whiskies. Unfortunately, it is not my preferred whisky style...
The taste is very sweet on different sugars (muscovado and others), milk chocolate, honey and some spices. Neither complex nor layered but very sippable. Again no flaw that I can find. Water turns the dram smoother and I like it best when reduced to about 46% abv.
The dram arrives warming and a little hot (peppery) on the palate and nicely coats the whole of it with a creamy feeling. The finish is of medium length and adds (even) more milk chocolatey flavours without distracting moments.
