The strong vanilla flavors paired with dry wood are in my opinion rather untypical for an Irish whiskey. This aromas probably comes from the finish in virgin oak barrels, which have clearly left its mark on the whiskey. Not quite my taste and I lack complexity. Even with the addition of water is doing nothing here. But I can well imagine that the Whiskey due to its enormous sweetness especially among beginners can encounter open mouths or convince as an ingredient in whiskey drinks. An average whiskey, but with a price of just under 50 euros for me rather expensive.

Light and with a decent load of vanilla, dry wood and caramel / toffee that might resemble a bourbon (rather atypical of an Irish whiskey). Spicy with light herbal aromas. The Grain produces aromas of dried oats. Little exciting. The emphasis here is clearly on this strong vanilla and dry woody notes.

Here, too, the strong vanilla aroma dominates right at the beginning, mixed with dry, spicy wood. Behind them I hear heather, honey and toffee. A slightly metallic note is added. Again, not very complex.

Dry and medium-long. Black pepper, vanilla and spicy Holland. Light fruit.
