100% Scotch Bulk Stuff. No Japanese Whisky. They just import Scotch Whisky cask to Japan, refill and bottle in Japan and send back to Europe. THAT IS THE STORY.

I really hope, Japan will change their law soon, too much fake Japanese crap like this is flooding the market.

Beside that: sharp, weak, metallic - a very very poor whisky.

The Enso whiskey is my opinion an average blend, which is liked because of its soft and harmony of the broad masses. I personally lack a bit of character and I miss formative corners and edges. In the cocktail he is doing really well and I can imagine trying out more serve with the Enso.
    • Nose
The nose is dominated by a sweetish vanilla and caramel wall, which is difficult to penetrate. Behind it hide fruity, tropical aromas with floral expressions. Slight adhesive note. At the back refreshing citrus. Acts a bit spurious.
    • Taste
Seer harmonious and soft, without corners and edges. The oak spicy felling here also very discreet. In the taste are also the vanilla and caramel notes in the foreground, which come here also slightly floral and perfumed. Not only by its low 40% vol. but also by its switch, it tastes a little watery for me and I would have liked more character here. One tries to please the vast majority here.
    • Finish
Now comes seasoning (finally, if not much), malt and roasted flavors with vanilla and fruit flavors.

A little weak. A trail of cooked fruits.
    • Taste

More fruits, cherry dominates. Almost like a cherry liqueur. The whiskey for the cherry blossom festival.
    • Finish

Medium. Impression of the fruits is preserved.

Nose is very light and no heavy malt at all. It has light fruit, sweets, fruit gums. I would have said this was a liqueur rather than a whiskey.

Taste remains light and full of fruit and sweetness. You get some new oak through all the fruit but you would struggle to believe it was 40%.

Don’t add water you will drown this blend.

The finish is really short and leaves you with a light fruit aftertaste.

This is not a complex blend at all and I find it really one dimensional. Is this Japanese blend confirming they have little stock and so a very young and light set of whiskies have had the life blended out of them. Too dull for me but glad this was not a very high price. There are so many better blends out there.
