The numerous 90+ reviews had made me curious. I can not really follow them like that. With Port Charlotte that has - for my taste - (unfortunately) nothing to do, this is a Laddie. The very fine impression of smoke is more likely to stem from the sherry cask than from the distillate. Unexpectedly strong, despite the reduction in alcohol content to 50%. Strong, quite dry sherry and oak influences, which, however, does not slide into the really bitter. However, lacking sweetness and above all sweet fruit, for a really great experience.
Overall, no evil malt, but there are more exciting in Sherry Single Casks. I forgot about him with Dramfool and Whiskybroker bottlings, which I found to be both more convincing, simply delicious.
