I don't think it's that bad to drink, just that the smell is a bit disappointing. Sip it and you'll get plenty of fruit juice with a strong pineapple aroma.

it feels very young and prickly, there are too many dead, inactive barrels in the batch, IMHO, and it is difficult to drink ...
We have a commercially made whisky, which I don’t want to return to, it’s very much an amateur IMHO, and I’m sad ...
Maybe he should stand, open, for a month? (
For now, during the evening, it is closed, simple, young, strong ...

Exciting and very tasty at first, but then too hot and characterized by bitter and mineral notes to really convince.
    • Nose
      87 87
The malt shimmers in the glass like straw in the sun and paints beautiful oily church windows in the glass that will last for a long time. Spicy and somehow "antique" is the first association in the nose, together with a slightly perfumed note of rose petals and lilac that sticks through again and again and makes you think of an old blend. Forest honey and fresh pine cones, apple jam, pineapple and fresh pear on creamy vanilla vla and dried oranges immediately add a distinctive sweetness, mix with slightly malty grain, salted potato chips and mild fresh herbal cheese on black bread. A few green tomatoes, cinnamon chewing gum and rapeseed oil continue to fire up the spicy sides, while cold cocoa and Brazil nuts emphasize the sweetness and an old beeswax candle completes the circle to the initial forest honey.
    • Taste
      84 84
Silky and oily with a very light wooden edge, the mouthfeel remains sweet overall, even if the tasting is accompanied by a slight tingling of cinnamon and briefly a chilli on the tip of the tongue. Herbal cheese and spicy forest honey on black bread bring you back to your memory, but pears, orange and menthol, cold cocoa, walnut oil and the bitterness of hazelnut skins disturb the balance over time, until green tea and a hint of vanilla sugar appear on the edge of the palate bite down.
    • Finish
      80 80
Vanilla sugar then remains the dominant impression in the finish, which the tart notes of lime and tobacco leaves, wood and resin can never completely dispel, although unfortunately they have too little time for this because the reverberation remains quite short overall.

Very nice round ex-Bc malt. At least that's how you taste it. You could smell it forever. The palate then unfortunately brings something back. Something is missing the variety and a final kick. Otherwise tip top.
    • Nose
      90 90
nice round beginning, many different notes come through, slightly fragrant perfume, some whole grain, grassy-floral, dark forest honey brings out a great sweetness. There are also almonds, nuts, coconut, fruity with oranges, tangerines, apricots, a little banana and apple, a slightly sour note of lime, and gooseberries in the background. A little caramel and vanilla round off the matter.
Really great, diverse malt. Absolutely something for the nose.
    • Taste
      88 88
Starts off slightly creamy, oily. But then quite spicy, peppery and hot. light tingling on the tongue, white pepper, ginger, some bread with olive oil, vanilla, sweet floral notes meet toffee and caramel, rich fruity notes of orange, mandarins and bananas, with a slightly sour citrus and lime,
    • Finish
      87 87
Medium-long finish, oak spice, caramel and walnut, slightly bitter, toffee honey-sweet,

Smell Nose: There are warm baking, banana pie, cinnamon, ginger slices, vanilla, honey water, ripe apples.

Taste Palate: white pepper, ginger sugar, olive oil, lacquer ware, vanilla, honey and apple juice mixed with a lot of water, spicy spices and woody smell in the first half, bright, hydrated, spicy but not in the second half hot.

After rhyme Finish: medium length, relatively simple, white pepper, oak, cheap wooden furniture, apple juice.

Body: Medium-bodied body, light oil, not complicated to build, so the balance is good, the power is not obvious, and it burns slightly.

This is just the highest aged sherry barrel in the winery, but the overall is too bourbon. However, as asserted when I first drank Glenkinchie 12, this is really a good evaluation alternative to rosebank. Although Serge only gave 85 points to this wine, he still said it was very Rosebanky.
    • Nose
Full grain ears, slightly scented fragrance, rose essential oil, extremely sweet honey, a little fleshy and greasy breath from Shirley barrels, clean white wooden boards, almonds, coconut milk, all kinds of small fresh Rosaceae Fruits, plant stems and leaves.
    • Taste
White pepper, spicy oak, vanilla, sweet floral notes, licorice, citrus oil, varnish.
    • Finish
Medium, white oak, vanilla ice cream, butter toast.

Fresh and lively 24-year lowland whisky
    • Nose
      87 87
Scent: Fresh perfume, green apple, smells very young, full of vitality, sour plum, lime, slightly caramel sweetness.
    • Taste
      86 86
Entrance: Lime, orange peel, but soon turned to the sense of grease, there is a hint of shredded tobacco. Some of them are like old Japanese cafes. The taste of the pipes at the neighboring table is floating, and then a bite of cheesecake... a complex aroma.
    • Finish
      83 83
Tail rhyme: toast, oily, slightly bitter, toffee sweet, but not so sweet...
