NAS, Limited Edition 2018, although there are still many bottles on the market today. Not completely convincing finishing: too young raw material, not very complex. For the price, however, you get an interesting, good-draining and in my opinion not overpriced product.
    • Nose
Barley, light oak, vanilla, vanilla, slightly nutty, fruit (orange / tangerine). Where is the Marsala?
    • Taste
strong appearance thanks to its alcohol content: orange peels over everything, something vinous one could now interpret into it
    • Finish
but now, in addition to the very dominant orange peel, the proportion of wine comes a little better to the fore; Vanilla and caramel. But the whole thing quite bitter. Stop: The meeting place of fine spirits finds no bitterness here ... The taste buds are so different and subjective on the tongue; or are there even different batches of the strictly limited edition?

At the beginning the whisky comes across as very sprightly, which is also due to the somewhat higher alcohol content. With increasing time, the whisky opens up quite nicely and ends in a fruity and floral bouquet.

Overall, certainly not complex, but easy to drink. Alright for the price.

After an initial alcohol bite, there is first an orange peel that turns more and more into an overripe mango. Caramel and vanilla can also be clearly felt. A (somewhat artificial) violet and lilac aroma is added. The mango, on the other hand, takes a back seat.

After a while, the fruit and flower aromas become less. The nose ends in a delicate rose scent.

The nose is astonishingly round overall.
    • Taste
      84 84
With the first sip, the alcohol rolls over your tongue and takes command. At the first sip, the apple is particularly present as a taste. There are also clear spice notes and a certain cleanliness.

With the second sip, at least a little orange and mango
    • Finish
      83 83
In the finish increasingly astringent with a hint of mango and orange, which are quickly gone with a bitterness. There remains a light wood taste with caramel.

The finish is unfortunately clearly too short and shows most of the missing draft.

Ripe and full. Strong and long lasting. Intelligent drink and way better then expected! Love it!

Caramel but not to strong. Camomille and hot wax. Intens but relaxing. Beautiful difference in details between the top and down nose.
    • Taste
      88 88
Mature palet with toffee apples and dried orange peel. Woody. And deep down there is a touch of sourness.
    • Finish
      88 88
Oaky. Long lasting. Hints of dust, strawberry and orange geste... Works well with a tiny drop of water.

    Quite nice and interesting dram.
Soft and very smooth to drink.
Flavour and taste sweety and very fruity.
The strong Marsala influence can be recognize clearly.
    Long and intense finish.

It seems to be a young spirit, but is well balanced and quite intense.

I'm a big fan of the cask finish serie from Arran. Very good price for a quite good quality :-)
