- ● The amber dress.
Tears solid and thick with large drops.
● The nose
Gourmand. Cereals and almonds, Almond creams, dried fruits, grapes and whisky cream. Rum baba, tiramisu. Sugar and egg white. Easter egg with brandy.
● The mouth.
Creamy. Sweet, egg white with sugar, almond whisky cream. Raisin, chocolate pear. Grape and mascarpone rum. Coffee Tiramisu.
● The final.
Moderately long and vegetal. Licorice and cereal.
A finish where the distillate is replaced for me, the Marsala dominates, the egg cream and the almond are too dominant. The expression is however quite successful.
If it had to be given a subjective note, it would be a 86
- The nose could be gigantic, unfortunately it pushes down the alcohol that stings. The palate is classified as "good", but in no way surprised. The finish is inconspicuous, but pleasant.
Mandarin and almonds. Some alcohol. Intensive pistachios are here. And gradually oak comes through. Intense and spicy. Anise. Some nougat still and a sourish appeal. Wood.
Full and intense. Quite also tingling. Very cute. Mandarins gels. Fruit tea. Mild coffee in the dessert.
Medium. Orange peel. Decently bitter.
- Very interesting and complex finish of Arran, which for a NAS whisky contains an astonishingly wide variety of flavors and which you can stand longer and develop. Very sweet, very creamy, very strong and a convincing mixture of Brennereicharakter and barrel influence. I like it very much.
Strong sweetness, spicy honey, fruity and sparkling notes of apples and pears, roasted almonds, frosting.
Gorgeous sweet, gummy bears in harmony with strong oak and hints of gingerbread. Very mouth-filling and oily.
Gentle oak, light and pleasant bitterness, a little residual sweetness, reminiscent of honey.
- He needs time, nothing else in his nose. Then he opens slowly, becomes very Christmassy. Still never intense, rather subtle and easy.
Not really opulent in the mouth either, no hint of sweetness. Dry and spicy.
IM not sure. He definitely has something, but I need a few more tries before I rate him.
Very cautious at the beginning, then comes slowly candle wax, cotton candy, roasted almonds, glazed apples, candied oranges, later also vanilla, caramel and some malt and ... lavender? Like soap, but in a pleasant way.
Very dry, spices (cloves, nutmeg), white pepper, then pecans, dominoes, oranges, dried fruits, light grapes, oak
Medium (5/10) with wood and nuts
