Terrific. Really great. I'm excited and that's not enough. 91 points.

There is much different. Yes, Laddie is here. Creamy cheese. But there is so much more. Liquid honey. Discreetly dry oak. White chocolate and light grapes reminiscent of pearly white wine. Nougat. Hazelnuts. Pistachios. Fantastic!

Water: citrus notes come through and the alcohol tickles briefly. Grapefruit. Lemon cake roll. The creamy side with nougat and white chocolate is gone. Too bad. Lemongrass is added.
    • Taste

Sweet and full. Creamy, the whisky spreads. Grapes. Warm honey. Also on the palate I have nougat. With the swallowing comes suddenly a barrage of pipe tobacco. The Nachschmecken is rather dry. Nevertheless, sweetness stays in the mouth. An elegant bittersweetness develops.

Water: Sour lemon sweets with sweet filling. Refreshing. Now much more like a bourbon barrel. The wine character is almost completely gone. Interesting.
    • Finish
      89 89
Medium to long. Rather dry and slightly bitter. Grape skins.

Elegantly vain Laddie enjoyment, with good performance, but he brings me taste not completely (does not mean more than 90 P.) from.
    • Nose

First, the typical cheesy notes, such as creamy cream cheese, with a slight spice, but then quite quickly berry wine aromas, such as slightly sourcurrants, in the nose.
After some time, oak and mineral barrel notes become clear, later nut flavors.
With water a little more acidic and a tiny trace sulfuricity, maybe.
    • Taste
      89 89
Predominantly red fruits, creamy texture and pleasant mouthfeel. Very interwoven by the strong alcohol.

With water clearer fruits, currants, mulberries, dry subtly sweet raisins, cheesy, with slightly bitter elements.
The alcohol is a bit rough now and not
      more perfectly integrated.
    • Finish
      90 90
Medium to long, dry, with some vinous sweetness and initially slightly oak bitterness.

With water significantly more oak, more intense and longer, but also drier.

A really exotic wine finish! This Bruichladdich is extremely complex and complex. Sweet, sour and dried fruit elements, musty sulfur and decayed wood. Certainly not a malt for every day, but very exotic and delicious!

Reddish caramel shines in the glass, on the glass wall of my Premium Snifter oily streaks pull their tracks back into the glass. Creamy grapes pour out of the jar, sheep's cheese crumbles over red dried berries and grapes. The nose is incredibly creamy and fruity, the cheese is a harsh and spicy counterpart. Hard toffee and caramel end in Turkish honey, caramelized sugar is literally flooded with sour berry flavor, chocolate and a handful of chopped hazelnuts merge. Slightly musty, a touch of sulfur, decayed oak planks exude their spicy aroma. The alcohol is wonderfully involved, slowly my salivation begins ...
    • Taste
Fermented berries and decayed cellar meet at first sip, creamy sweetness flows through the palate, sour fruit flavors settled under the tongue. peppery pungency creeps slowly from below over the tongue, the salivation is massively stimulated. Roasted hazelnuts fall into processed cheese, citrus fruits come into their own. In the second sip, moldy and musty sulfur elements are increasingly showing, the sharpness on the tongue increases noticeably, salt dissolves from harsh wood elements. I commit myself to perceive stale pieces of wood, fly ash and some cold smoke. The now pleasant sharpness stimulates the salivation extremely, briefly show sour fruit flavors in combination with grapefruit and abrasion of lemon peel before the taste goes wooden in the finish.
    • Finish
Slightly smoky wood elements stick to the palate, dark chocolate and dried berries dissolve from harsh wood tones. Creamy, the finish sounds with an old walnut note and leaves an oily and slightly greasy mouthfeel.

A stunner! The aroma is typically Laddie, only supplemented by other intense aromas from the barrel. Extremely versatile and exciting!
    • Nose
      89 89
Incredibly creamy vanilla sweetness, wonderful light pastry notes, slightly tart, citrus fruits, a little honey, sweet fresh tobacco, sweet and dry nuts, light fresh fruits, light milk chocolate, roasted and lightly salted hazelnuts, cheesecake, salty nut mix. A certain sweetish and often called 'Laddie cream cheese note' spreads. The alcohol is almost imperceptible. An awesome sweet-sour, light-fruity and creamy experience.

Something's going on on the tongue!

      Sweet, spicy, roasted, nutty .....

Sweet and dry nuts, tangy citrus notes, hazelnuts, vanilla, roasted wood, a little caramel, possibly pistachios. Very spicy and strong and yet sweet.
    • Finish

Strong, spicy, dry wood, tart nuts, a little dry chocolate

very tasty laddie, sweet wine always works with me
    • Nose
Nose: sweet, creamy, vanilla, slightly tart, Muller's milk banana, marzipan, honey, sweet yellow fruit, very light oak in the background, brings a bit of spice with it, like a sweet, with always a light Laddie undertone, caramel candy
    • Taste
sweet, very creamy, vanilla, honey, yellow sweet fruit, sweet orange, light acidity, nice mouthfeel
    • Finish
drier, vanilla, more and more in the direction of orange or tangerine, plus spice, slightly tart, oak, long-lasting, warming

This laddie is actually a very nice guy, but he has a little problem, so I can not give him more than 86 points.
The nose is unfortunately too alcoholic, so I have to give him a few drops of water.
That would not matter if he did not let flavors break that fast (though 60%).

The nose is, with a few drops of water, very nice and on the palate it is super without water .... handle that!
    • Nose

Plenty of cheese like I like with laddie, pecans, some chocolate and vinous notes, all the while honey and light herbal notes like oregano.
    • Taste
      84 84
      (With water)
Green grapes but also fresh, not too intense berries, checked coffee, malty, honey, cheese, mint.
For me personally but unfortunately not to compare with the nose.
    • Finish
      86 86
Remains sticky for a long time ... a slightly sour / malty note with a few berries and honey
