I love madeira ripeness in combination with smoke. Anyone who expects a sticky and sweet malt is at the wrong address. The back is pretty astringent. I like it :-)

If you like Madeira ripening in general, you will find yourself at the first smelling immediately at the finish, intense fruity impacts of Madeira, to a bitter dark chocolate, the nose is creamy, but I would not call them sweet, a potpourri of juicy red berries, the Smoke is woody, slightly resinous, it blends harmoniously with the fruity main component of the first impression, with time it is getting creamier, from bittersweet milk chocolate, freshly poured cocoa, which I like called Lumumba comes to mind before I then finally start to sip, I finally have a minty freshness in the nose

wow, in the mouth it goes straight on, the nose is reflected one to one again, great integrated wood smoke, it starts creamy with milk chocolate chunk, fruity, berry compote, a little bit harsh, the chocolate is omnipresent, here it will be over time again dark

the aftertaste is dry, slightly nutty, the very dark bittersweet chocolate chard, which is always too bitter for me to eat, some fruit bowl, and above all the memory of the smoke that holds on, that's really like I suck the dark chocolate

This is a Ledaig, but he really smells sweet sugar, the Madeira. The Ledaig scent is gone.
The Ledaig is back with taste. But sweet, a very funny combination. Yet you do not drink Ledaig to drink this (if you know what I mean)

    My best ever Ledaig
    • Nose
Perfect Ledaig smoke, dirty full and intense, the Madeira barrel is only to be guessed, nutty wood flavors despite the grade 11y
    • Taste
oily and full of smoke and tart herbs
    • Finish
long warm and supported by absolutely tanin-free oak
