SMWS Tasting Notes: The nose on this one was a veritable sweetie shop full of red laces, buttered popcorn, toffee apples, softmints, white icing and sweet cider with a butterscotch twist. Water revealed more floral aspects with toasted coconut, bounty bars, rose petals, jam donuts and a waft of dunnage warehouse. On the palate we found green peppercorns, hay, orange bitters, beef jerky and brown sugar. With a little aeration bringing forth strawberry jam, Mr Whippy ice cream and mango fruit pastilles. Water moved things more towards parma violets, mineral oil, tart tatin, dessicated papaya and toasted pumpkin seeds with a ‘broad brush stroke’ mouth-coating quality.
