In the nose we found coastal flavors such as warm sand, some caramel and quite a hint of peat. The palate immediately has a sweetness that makes you happy. Floral notes (heather), some salt and, surprisingly, we hardly find smoke. Or at least not nearly as much smoke as the last, newer original bottlings of Highland Park. For the youthful 10 years amazingly round and complex. Medium long finish.
Despite the nearly 64 Vol.% - probably one of the strongest bottlings we've ever had - we recommend to taste it without water. He is incredibly accessible. But as soon as you add just a few drops of water, it reveals all its power, an expo explosion headed by black pepper. When water is added, then have courage and experiment proficiently and try to tame this golden drop in the glass.
We hope you enjoy this delicious Highland Park! by Houseofsinglemalt.ch

Coastal flavors with some honey.
-
Fruity with many toffee and chocolate flavors. With a little water, almonds and a hint of shortbread appear.

Roasted oak and smoke. The sweetness comes back with a little air. Long, warm and wonderfully satisfying.
