This Viking may not bring you all the way to Vinland, but he will for sure take you along to Valhall. And if you fall asleep with the glass in your hand, you will wake to drink another day and without question do it all over again.
Light, surprisingly light given the ABV.
Sweet, honey, barley, dry hay.
Light clean smoke.
Not much citrus, but I can swear that somewhere down there is at least half a banana, which is unusual for HP.
Citrus emerges with water.
You might say creamy, but it arrives with a viscousity closer to youghurt. Thick, massive, immediately spicy, there's absolutely nothing timid about it, this is a Viking.
Compaired to the average HP it is smokier, saltier, everything -ier.
This is not just down to ABV, as it is more mature and complex than any of the CS NAS releases.
With water it stays quite oily, but the spice is brought down several notches though.
Prolonged warm spices, lightly drying.
Water calms it, removes what was of dryness, but it remains oily fat and sticks to the cheaks. This is where you notice why un-chill filtered matter.
