Aroma: open, slightly youthful, immediately dirty mineral and technical notes, which are mainly characteristic of young Bunnahabhain, metal shavings, waste oil, walls covered with lime, raw earth; further wine component, sour wild berries ground with sugar, currant jam, viburnum jam, port Ruby.
Taste: bright, mineral and berry, a lot of chalk, rust, cranberry, viburnum with sugar, very astringent and salty. Very unusual!
Finish: medium length, herbaceous mixture, bitter-sweet berries, activated charcoal, chalk, salt. Very dry, and the chalk is the main component on which other components are adjusted.
The result: a very unusual Bunna, a bright and mineral base, complemented by an unusual wine barrel that is not inferior in brightness. I would not say that I want to drink this every day, but I liked the experiment as a very unexpected and successful one.
