Beautiful color that immediately reminds you of a rose wine.
The youth can't be completely hidden, but it's nice that the port wine influence is there, but not too dominant.
Especially with the addition of water, the young age comes through in the form of the alcohol sharpness, which remains despite the addition of water. Instead, it loses depth and aromas.
    • Nose
      84 84
Cherry notes spread across the nose. Likewise dark chocolate notes. And a stinging of the alcohol strength can also be heard. Some honey and minimal light fruit notes.
Water is not so good for him because he withdraws completely.
    • Taste
      81 81
At first cautiously, but then the alcohol pushes hard.
But also sweet notes of honey and strawberry.
Water changes little here; on the contrary, it loses aromas and the alcohol remains sharp.
    • Finish
      87 87
      Sweet, but also dry finish.
This is where the port wine influence can be felt most strongly for me

    COLOUR: light amber (without dye)

    - young, powerful single malt
    - but also for this original bottling as a single cask
unfortunately also as disappointing (like the 3 standards MYTH, CELT & LEGEND for me)
    - clearly aromatic already better than the 3 above but
    definitely no 8 in front
    - The price used to be around 50-60€, but even then it was too expensive for the quality shown, definitely not worth the price to me
    • Nose
more intense yet sharp first impression, still looks young, oak
    • Taste
      without water: very powerful, very spicy yet quite sharp attack, the high percentages clearly noticeable, fruit aromas in the background but suppressed by the alcohol, cocoa in the background;

with W.: the relatively sharp alcohol aroma remains present even with water, fruit mix
    • Finish
      medium length finish ;
medium-long strong still quite alcoholic aftertaste

Great, full and sweet-fruity malt with strawberries and peach without great complexity.
    Length: 3/10

    Grade: 2+

    • Nose
The port wine really comes into its own. I have cherry, some wood with subtle dark chocolate and candied fruit with beeswax.
    • Taste
Here, too, cherry notes and wood. In addition, honey with a little chilli and again light dark chocolate, as well as a floral note that I cannot assign.
    • Finish
Medium length. Also here cherry notes with wood. There are also dark berries with dark chocolate and spicy notes with red pepper.

Very nice color: an old rose. Not seen yet.

Now smell it. Madness! A fruit bomb. Sweet red fruits. Who knows this from France: Grenadine.

In addition lemon zest and Eichwürze.

A very intense and very harmonious nose, wow.
    • Taste
      91 91
a first mild and round start. Slightly sweetish. With a little delay, the sweet red fruits come. Delicious.
Then the tongue starts to tingle and the oak is there. Very pleasant and complements very well with the sweetness. In addition, almonds, cane sugar and a subtle salbenote in the background.
    • Finish
      90 90
medium length finish. There remains a fruity bitterness, always pleasant. With some oak spice on the tongue and in the throat. Almonds.

The color is always awesome, I rarely had a whisky from the port keg in the glass, which has such a beautiful roséweinige color.
The nose is great with the typical notes of Port, salty caramel and fruits (although I spontaneously had salted fruits in mind here). Sweet in the mouth, red fruits (some strawberries underneath). Long finish, not so red, but rather dark, spicy chocolate, in the aftermath taste much more licorice after.
Young and therefore not cheap, but unexpectedly delicious, even if it lacks some depth, the alcohol is felt, but still holds back halfway.
