  1. vlad78 scored this whisky 89 points Connoisseur

Just a wonderful whisky to enjoy a drink alone.
    • Nose
      90 90
Gentle. Slightly smoky. Very fruity. And always to the same limit. Here's a melon, but you did bite too deep. Almost to the crust. And it's bitter after the sweetness. Green kiwi. The seeds are bitter and get stuck in the teeth, and the hairy, rough skin also gives out bitterness.
    • Taste
      89 89
Sweet tropical, with white and not bitter fruit seeds. As happens in melon.
    • Finish
      89 89
Sweet aftertaste. So unobtrusive, as if you were clinging to a spring, to a spring that is just beginning.

  2. Robinzon25 scored this whisky 90 points Connoisseur

A very consistent, outstanding whisky with excellent balance and depth. The barrel took most of the phenols from this release, and the rest merged harmoniously with other components, forming a single whole. The result is a moderately smoky and at the same time light, sophisticated Lafroyg. Almost perfect! But the insufficient strength of 46% does not allow him to rise to the 90 points category.
    • Nose
Thick, oily, saturated with shades of sea, extinct fire and baked mackerel. In the background - old skin, belly, fat tail fat, stale hay and dried berries.
    • Taste
On the palate, there are nuances of smoked oil fish generously sprinkled with salt and spices, a little berry sweetness, citrus acidity and the influence of oak.
    • Finish
Long-lasting, measured, enveloping, with a noble taste of "old". First, oily, salty, peppery. Then moderately smoky, slightly fruity, with hints of cocoa and dry oak at the very end.
