I'm a fan of Arran. So the rehearsal was a must!
With these key data, not too much should go wrong.
    • Nose
It starts out fruity on the nose. It smells like a bourbon sherry whisky should smell. Honey-soft raisins with a little exotic fruit and everything underlaid with fine vanilla.
    • Taste
Very full and strong in the mouth. Now he's showing his age. Peppery vanilla with a malty load of spices. Good barrel selection! Always sweet, then sour to umami and spicy, ... everything looks very pleasant and complex, wow.
    • Finish
Medium to long with a full body but only slightly spiciness, it always remains vanilla sweet and then slowly fades away warming. Good 20s, ... he deserves respect! I can only decide whether it is worth the price when I have more samples to test.

Very nice and fruity aromas, quite sweet and exotic. Peaches mango, etc. The alcohol is barely noticeable
    • Taste
      91 91
Dried fruit, light acid and then the chile catch, all very harmonious and also fruity, the age is here to advantage and binds the barrel very nicely
    • Finish

Here, the Ollorosso ripening dominates, very full of good body and extremely long finish he comes. He warms and just asks for more!
      Class malt

definitely a good malt - personally, the style is not so, because he can not decide between his Vattinganteilen and I lack a certain clarity.
Without the extreme fleshy notes in my nose, I would have given 2 more points - I just do not like whisky smelling of Sunday roast
    • Nose
      87 87
first waxy citrus zests, canned fruit cocktail with peach, tangerine, pink grapefruit stew with white peel, freshly cut light wooden strips, crystalline flowers, orange oil, apple juice, green tea, after an hour in the glass it becomes meatier, funds, crispy chicken skin, pork roast with crust - the Nose is very clean, mildly aromatic, very volatile
    • Taste
      88 88
fruity, creamy, light soap note, fresh wood, sweet and malty - the sherry aromas are more in the background form a backdrop of raisins, dates and orange against the superficial citrus flavors
    • Finish
      87 87
medium length - fresh, tart, peppery, yeast pastry with salt and sugar crust

The absolute best Arran I've tried. Sunshine in a bottle. Beautifully tropical, stunning form on the palate, a long intense finish, and great complexity. The sherry is in a supporting role here.
    • Nose
Rich and spiky. Loads of caramel and honey, and fresh ginger. White cherries, grapefruit, raspberry, and orange oil, rounding off into vanilla and clove. A bit of fresh mint. Some dark chocolate in there as well. It gets richer as it sits: now there’s sandalwood and more Oloroso nuttiness. The citrus has dried out and concentrated, and is joined by jammy dates and yellow plums. Some old pencils as well as tropical flowers.
    • Taste
Medium-thick texture. Full and rich. Barley sugar and cereals up front, with a touch of cinnamon, milk chocolate, graham crackers, and salt. Concentrated yellow and tropical fruit in the midpalate, along with candied nuts, egg bread, and toffee. As it develops, the oak starts to come through, followed by strong passionfruit, mango, apple, and green tea. Just a hint of leather. A twinge of pine, graphite, limestone, and earth start to come through with time, as well as more ginger.
    • Finish
Intense and very long. Fresh orange for days. Fragrant cedar, flowers, strong beeswax dripping with honey, apple, caramel, and vanilla. Pineapple, mango, and yellow plums. White cherries and white chocolate. A clean sea salt note shines through, slowly getting more maritime.
