- John Glaser, owner of Compass box, tried years ago one
blend, so exceptionally well, he felt that he since then speaks
"lucky blend" of this. The blend he tasted at this time, consisted of Islay malts. This facts in mind, he made himself to work and married for his own blend two casks of Caol Ila and one cask of Imperial. The result was an exceptionally and complex vatted malt with a strong structure, a formative smoke note, and a true experience. The new "Lady Luck" was born! This story shows once more, everything is good, must be no "single"...
- Peaty whisky, and I just love it. Not a peatmonster, but still great.
Powerful nose, full of alcohol. Loads of smoke, tar and seaweed. But in the background there is some sweet aromas.
Peat, not to much and not to little, just perfect. And there is room for wonderful sweetness, salt and a peppery attack.
Long finish. Lots of peat again. The 46% does the job right, and gives the whisky a nice peppery attack.
