  1. Rosebank88 scored this whisky 77 points Expert Senior

    • Nose
Surprisingly fresh and floral start with hay, potpourri and grated lemon zest. Acts thereby quite "Lowland-like". Then follows a clear, nutty malty, oak, oat milk and some chocolate.
    • Taste
Oak, floral notes, grated lemon zest, malty accents, sweet notes and chocolate. Overall, quite youthful.
    • Finish
      Long, nutty and chocolaty.

For your guests who think they know about whisky, if you are particularly perverse. Otherwise, dilute with maple syrup for a good liquor.
    • Nose
Alcoholic, fresh and lemony, slightly woody
    • Taste
burn the tongue. Honey and lemon in the background
    • Finish
      Long, amer

    • Nose
Honey, malt, wood, pinch of spice and fruit, cinnamon. Nice, cool scent. (83 b)
    • Taste
I was expecting her to be lagging behind the promising odor, but she could keep up. Lightly sweet, malt, mush, oak tannins. Only the flavor spoils a little. (82 b)

I did not like this as much as others claim to.
    • Nose
Malting floors.  Buttered toast, then lemon peels.  Fruit tart.
    • Taste
Soft fruits, but more malty.  Cereal grains.  Sweet confectioners sugar.
    • Finish
      Medium length.  Chardonnay.

Matured in Bourbon & Sherry Oak Casks. This range has been around

for a few years now and seems to have weathered the storm it caused

amongst the faithful when it was initially released. "The Fine Oak

range is...more approachable, and has the potential to be embraced by a

greater percentage of whisky drinkers....cutting back on the sherry

reveals more of the Macallan spirit, which is first-class." John

    Hansell, Malt Advocate Magazine

  10. Willie JJ scored this whisky 70 points Expert Senior

Not bad, but I prefer the sherry
    • Nose
      Apples and pears. Porridge. Horlicks.
    • Taste
Very oily, slightly linseedy. Creme caramel. Spicy, tastes of cardboard.
    • Finish
Much shorter and less interesting than the sherried 10. Still cardboardy.
