Whisky Reviews for Macallan 10-year-old

It's not a bad whisky. It is easy to drink but lacks complexity - I would almost call it boring. Might be a good whisky for a beginner.
Sweet, mild a bit of fruit.
Very mild, a little sweetness, taste of alcohol but without any punch.
Short. A bit of alcohol and I kinda get the taste of biting the end of a pencil (?)
- Colour: light gold/straw
Nose: neat: light, floral, touches of grass, sweet caramel candy, slight touch of almonds. with water: sweetness replaces the floral notes as the more prominent note, still maintains the remaining profile.
Taste: neat: sherry sweetness, vanilla, gingery, a little too much oak. with water: bring more of the spicy/gingery notes, tones down the sweetness and wood becomes even more present.
Finish: dry, on wood overtones, relatively short but with the sweet note going last. with water: nothing really changes.
Comments: good whisky but the wood somewhat overpowers the spirit. Still, for a 10 year old I was positively surprised, overall quality is good.
MY SCORE: Recommended
Surprisingly fresh and floral start with hay, potpourri and grated lemon zest. Acts thereby quite "Lowland-like". Then follows a clear, nutty malty, oak, oat milk and some chocolate.
Oak, floral notes, grated lemon zest, malty accents, sweet notes and chocolate. Overall, quite youthful.
Long, nutty and chocolaty.

- For your guests who think they know about whisky, if you are particularly perverse. Otherwise, dilute with maple syrup for a good liquor.
Alcoholic, fresh and lemony, slightly woody
burn the tongue. Honey and lemon in the background
Honey, malt, wood, pinch of spice and fruit, cinnamon. Nice, cool scent. (83 b)
I was expecting her to be lagging behind the promising odor, but she could keep up. Lightly sweet, malt, mush, oak tannins. Only the flavor spoils a little. (82 b)
