Andromeda V D he is a very fine whisky with a great characteristic, also has nothing in common with the Caol Ila from red wine barrels, much more refined and reserved, he shows up. Just to the current temperatures this fits well and not only because of the color.
    • Nose
H ere, the origin can not deny absolute delicious wine note in the nose, suddenly have the Tormore GM Côte Rôtie in the head, only with an additional delicate smokiness, discreetly. It almost resembles a miniature smoke, it floats nicely with, not at all obtrusive and especially not crushing. Many red strawberries, some sour cherry and rose flavors. Then comes a great sweetness with hints of marzipan, almond and vanilla. Alcohol is super integrated, but also noticeably mild here, not as expected at 59%. The nose definitely wants to keep on sniffing.
    • Taste
N ow he may of course its 59.2% not hide because the smoke Power comes with neat, now many times clearer, but still no Islay. Then you get back the red fruits served, appear in the background and are difficult to come to the fore. But if you give it a little more time you will get it delivered nicely. The Andromeda V is very full-bodied and spicy. Since there is a lot of wood from the lot, this is also responsible for the distinct dryness in the palate. If you give the whisky some water to play, the initial dryness disappears and the sweetness becomes stronger. The whisky is great with water is always delicious.
    • Finish
The finish is perfectly fine for a whisky with this character, not scary long but pretty fruity with always a little rosy on the palate.

Very nice Ardmore, strong whisky, subtle peat with a lot of room for sweet and fruity flavours. Very enjoyable.
    • Nose

Fruity, with a modest part of peat through it. Fakeleather, peach, and pretty much alcohol.
    • Taste
      87 87
Strong, pepper, some peat comes in immediately, but some chocolate and orange as well. Thick structure. Peach and honey are present too.
    • Finish
      87 87
Still a full and strong taste, but less pickering now. Still some peat, chocolate and caramel. Some fruitiness still, orange, peach. Pretty long finish.

I like Ardmore with this slightly dirty and subtly smoky character.
The UA's I had so far were all very stable to cool.
Only the Ardmore 1996 from the Core Range, I found something flat.
    • Nose
      88 88
warming immediately, he can not hide the youthfulness.
Toffee, Nutella or rather Hanuta, roasted waffles also fit.
Equally green and red ripe grapes, a bit overripe, but I always like it very much.
    • Taste
      87 87
strong onset, acid, vanilla, subtle Ardmore smoke, yellow and red fruit, nice dirty-tasty
    • Finish
      85 85
Intense but short, but that was to be expected and is okay

    • Nose
Rubber rubber bands and a little peat
    • Taste
The finish looks like port instead of red wine. But it lacks something. It is one-sided, and the flavors do not form a whole. And I taste a rubbery aftertaste.
    • Finish
      Dun
