What remains is still not a very complex dram, but pretty acceptable and quiet strong for a 46% whisky.
Certainly not one of the better Teaninich's I've tasted so far.
Fruity, citrus, some overripe orange, kind of a strange, dusty, moldy element in the nose. Also apple fritter.
After some time, this moldy part disappears, leaving a nice fruity nose.
Pretty strong, pepper. Fruity, but again with this moldy and overripe edge on it. Orange, and a bit of cardboard.
Likewise the nose, after some time this moldy edge disappears, more caramel comes in.
Still pickering and strong, now some bitterness with fruity notes, grapefruit. Middle long finish, a hint of caramel again.
