  1. MaltMartin scored this whisky 89 points Connoisseur

A whisky which was 'born' on the same day as me. Opened with close friends on my 50th birthday in 2022. Not utterly complex, but an easy sip.
    • Nose
Lots of glue, saw dust and pencil shavings for a start. Followed by fruity sweetness of yellow apples, peach, and apricot. Spring flowers. Dried coconut. Also sultana. Fresh cedar wood in the background.
    • Taste
Sweet but firm vanilla notes of custard powder and cake mix. Spices of pepper and nutmeg. Corn. Cream fudge intermingled with white chocolate. Touch of cocoa. Rum-toffee. This grain whisky has a pleasant oily and silky mouthfeel.
    • Finish
Medium long. Dry. More spices of caraway and cumin. Cinnamon. Pine at the end. Well balanced.
