Note by Serge Valentin from whiskyfun.com:

Tullibardine 1993/2008 (46%, OB, ‘Sauterne’ Finish)  As the good people at Celtique Connexion in Britanny or Glenmorangie, Signatory or Bruichladdich in Scotland have already shown us, Sauternes can work very well with whisky. I said ‘can’ ;-). Colour: gold. Nose: extremely close to the Moscatel, only a little rounder and more honeyed. Like if someone had poured a few litres of mead into a regular cask – as for the rest, please read above. Mouth: right, the wine is more obvious here, but it does not overwhelm the whisky at all. Hints of rose jelly and ripe apricots added to a very nice cask of Tullibardine (please see above). Finish: long, candied, fruity (more quinces here) and slightly smoky. Quite some pepper once again. Gets maybe a tad too ‘exotic’ in the aftertaste (pineapple drops). Comments: once again, this is very good, but the shier moscatel finish worked a little better in my opinion.SGP:451 - 84 points (But pssst, dear distillers, there’s an ‘s’ at the end of Sauternes.)

The latest Sauternes Finish from Tullibardine is the best to date. Sweet on the
nose, very fruity, with honey and gingerbread. Full and syrupy on the palate,
with mulled wine notes. The finish is medium and gingery, with lingering figs
    and fudge.

Pure enjoyment. Bring out the sun, so I can put the
bottle back on the table! Thanks, Jos.
    • Nose
The nose is very fresh. It is spring in the glass.
Soft and oily with all kinds of citrus fruits and apricots on syrup. Quite some
honey too. A tiny bit floral and grassy. Very inviting.
    • Taste
It is soft on the palate. The Sauternes has put its
foot down. Very sweet and spicy. Cinnamon and some pepper, candied ginger. A
slight sour touch as is from lemon. Quince, too. A touch of smoke? Must be from
      the wood.
    • Finish
The finish is mildly peppery and sweet. It remains
      fruity until the end.

    Nice, especially for the "finish"
    • Nose
      Sweet and fruity (orange, apricot)
    • Taste
In restraint at first, sweet, apples and pears, some spices.
    • Finish
Dry and relatively long on malt.

    • Nose
Fine, sweet, fruit, fresh chilled fruit salad notes with traces of orange citrus.
    • Taste
The taste is smooth and greasy, the texture is round and fruity. A dessert time dram and also very nice. With a few drops of water, the story only gets better, from very good to truly exceptional sweet wine.
    • Finish
Volatile and brings an incredible, durable finish

Funny indeed. The front label of the tube reads "Sauterne" whereas the label in the back and the bottle label reads "Sauternes". Seems like they could not really decide

Shouldn't it be 'Sauternes Wood', with an 's' at the end of Sauternes?
