- Guys, you fool! Only 86. And that, of course, is not worth $ 500!
- This is one of the all time classics. I have had a bottle of this every year since 1997. Over the years it has changed slightly, but always a quality dram. My only complaint as of late is the lower quality sherry caskings than even 8 years ago. Almost like there is more refill than first fill. This scotch deserves to be priced at about $150. $200 or more and you might as well move up to Rare cask which is a much better dram.
Wonderful fruits. Hard to beat Mac 18 nose.
Buttery smooth. Fruits.
medium and would be better if it was bottled at 46%
- A very intense Sherrynote, heavy, mature, old, fantastic.
A light spiciness hovers over the glass, pickled fruits.
Creamy, soft in the mouth.
The oak makes itself felt.
A wonderful barrel.
I only marvel venerably.
Sherry, oak, vanilla. That's it ...
- One of my favorites
- Ginger. Raisins. Cinnamon. Oak. Just like what the box says. But for a Macallan 18, these are delivered in a disappointing fashion. A highly commercialised product. Medium bodied, weak finish, and very 'smooth'. Mediocre dram.
