    Color, dark amber

    Nose:
    Wow, considering the age, incredible.
A little tip to start with if you still have this malt closed at home (you can count yourself lucky)
Open, enjoy some great drams, wait a little..... because he just keeps getting better open.
Blindly one would guess that I was older.
This sherry dip was bottled at just the right time, right after the sherry cask would then slowly inject the nutty and dried fruit.
However, fruity notes do indeed dominate, juicy cherries, ripe apricots meet hints of dried fruit, but here more dates and a beautiful and astonishingly clear barrel note that never disturbs, rather like a gentle smoky note in an old-ripened smoky whisky that plays around the barrel notes and accentuate the remaining aromas. This is definitely a dark chocolate with easily 85%, because this barrel was obviously bottled at exactly the right time and the sherry aromas are more on the sweet side, but I don't think anyone cares, I think it's absolutely great, I loved this nose .
    mouth :
As mentioned, wonderful sherry is also on point here, sherry at full steam, but with style, delicious, fruity, unobtrusive. To the nose, which is reproduced 1:1, there is not a slight maltiness and another fruit that can be difficult to grasp, could be an apple.
With some drams, however, I also had the feeling that there was a splash of citrus, juice or even blood orange
Great mouthfeel, alcohol very well integrated, almost velvety mouthfeel, light bite, wonderful dram

    finish :
    medium to long .
It sounds evenly, fruity and spicy. Leaves a great mouthfeel

    Conclusion
In the meantime, the bottle is unfortunately empty, if I had known how good this malt is, I would have packed a second bottle.
After the first dram I wasn't even that excited. found the "good"
But ..... it kept getting better and better. I paid 40 euros for him.
Worth every penny, for one thing incredibly mature for Das Alter, but also incredibly balanced.
This cask was filled to the point, you can only take your hat off to that.
No, it's not super complex, but it certainly offers a variety of flavors.
Its strength was how well everything harmonized. Great cinema and a mentally ill PLV ????

    Color: amber.
Nose: Sweet, dark fruit, overripe. Sloe Gin! The alcohol is very well integrated.
Palate: Again sloe liqueur. The 47.5% feel like 43. The youth is very easily felt. The Brennereicharacter of Glentauchers can only be guessed (but that's it: the gooseberries are).
Finish: Medium long to (rather) long with dark, fermented fruit and preserved in alcohol. The tongue is slightly occupied.
Conclusion: Good material, especially at the price. The youth is only a little bit disturbing. But you can not drink much of that: the sloe are getting a bit too dominant. The good thing about the malt is that it has something special that clearly separates it from the rest of the whisky world. It is this almost obtrusive sloe note.
