  1. TsiAI scored this whisky 86 points Expert Senior

Eyes: Golden smell and fragrance. Nose: It comes up with a punch, heavy coke, black smoke, and leather. Then it turns into salted fish and coarse-grained salt, with a rough and surging style.
After the cup wakes up, nail polish remover, whipped cream, dried mango, fruit vinegar, chemical reagents, and ethyl acetate will appear. There are some raspberry sauce, cola, barbecue sweet sauce in the latter part. Smells thick and balanced.
Taste Palate: relatively sour, high sweetness, not much bitter bottom, leather goods, cooking smoke, activated charcoal, charcoal grilled saury, millet rice crackers, overcooked caramel sauce, with fruit pits, damp soil, and woolen yarn at the end.
Final rhyme Finish: Long, Lay’s original potato chips, corn tortillas, leather goods, coke, wine body: medium, average fat, intense burning

    Nose: 87/100
    Palate: 86/100
    Finish: 85/100
    Body: 85/100
Overall: 86/100, the smell of coke, leather and coarse-grained salt is very Normanc, I am in Speyside, and my heart is highland peat.

    Tasted from a blind sample.
Very good nose and palate, too bad the finish is underwhelming.

Haha, Taiwanese, what else can I say? Please beg the winery to release a 12-year-old barrel of pure Bourbon barrels, and show more barley and peat. In the era of Genting 12 disqualification, it may still be a bit competitive. If they are all of this quality, Shirley barrels or not It's good to be mixed in small batches.
    • Nose
The peat make-up is full of roasted grain, and sometimes there are some red fruits. Savory animal fats, coarse vegetable fibers, spiked straw, corrugated paper, whole grain snacks, fruity aroma, red Fuji, grapefruit, sweet and strong, brownies, hazelnut chocolate, maltose thin, yam ball rock sugar gourd, peat Stronger than Springbank and weaker than Lagavulin.
    • Taste
Sweet bitter, bitter and bitter. Saccharin, malic, roasted seeds, cinnamon, bitterness of Chinese medicine, sour black chocolate, berry peel, red fruit, tannin, stove ash, peat.
Strong, rich in oil, sweet, sour, tannin, astringent, obviously bitter, no spicy.
    • Finish
For a long time, the Chinese medicine has a bitter bottom, burnt roasted seeds, barley, tannin, and peat.

  5. AdelphosHume scored this whisky 85 points Expert Senior

Heavy on the sherry influence, a good helping of peat, and a dash of chocolate.
    • Nose
Sweet sherry, green peat-smoked honeyed malt, and rich baking spices.
    • Taste
Sweet dried fruits, malt, peat-smoked honey, and milk chocolate covered dried fruits.
    • Finish
      Dark chocolate cherry cordials.

The Benromach 10yo CS with a bigger helping of sherry.
With a drop of water it becomes the perfectly balanced dram.
    • Nose
      91 91
Malty with plenty of depth. Red berries and red apples bringing in fruitiness before a gentle wisp of smoke, oak and black pepper appears.
With water the bite drops and a new meaty element appears. A smoky bacon note with a dab of brown sauce. Citrus notes make an appearance and add to the dynamic.
      Beautiful nose
    • Taste
      88 88
Big and powerful, strong arrival of smoke and oak. Followed by the red berries and malt. Plenty of cinnamon and nutmeg to liven things up. A touch of sulphur creeps in but only adds to the overall package.
    • Finish
      89 89
Long, drying, smoky, oaky and leathery. Did I say long?
