  1. dRambo scored this whisky 85 points Connoisseur

    really a PLV hammer - under 30 € the liter! - 46% - no plodres, no notes, no 8thfill barrels - fits
    • Nose
      86 86
very grassy, citron, freshly cut planks - and the typical herb notes that are associated with light wood, a little vanilla, ginger, oatmeal cookies, fresh and crisp with no flaws or alcoholic stinging

      warms rather sweaty citrus drops
    • Taste
      85 85
classic ex BC profile dominates, lots of lemon, pudding and pastries, round, simple but not one-dimensional - licorice, leather, citrus, pear, date, raisins, a bit dry
    • Finish
      84 84
grassy, tree sap, maple syrup, chewed citrus sweet, mineral - stone meal - medium straight and warm

  2. MrDvorak scored this whisky 83 points Expert Junior

    RATING: 83pts – |83 – 86 (B) → Good| — Not a “must”, but a nice-to-have.
    • Nose
      82 82
The nose is fresh and fruity with gentle hints of unripe oranges, green apples, vanilla with soft touch of oak.
    • Taste
      85 85
The taste has a beautiful sour sweet profile with notes of citrus fruits, caramel, brown raisins and lemonade.
    • Finish
      83 83
The finish is simple but very neat with gentle notes of lemonade, green grass, citrus fruits and soft oakiness.

  3. Tom na Gruagaich scored this whisky 75 points Connoisseur

I am extremely surprised how strong the aromas are in a rather mild Speysider. That's a pretty massive distillate. Yet it lacks elegance and complexity. It's a tasty, solid, rather strong whisky with a very grandiose PLV. Still not really memorable in the end.
    • Nose
Fruity, yeasty and somehow extremely spicy, applesauce with yeast extract, little wood, but the fire is very intense, even if a little schnapps. Surprisingly strong.
    • Taste
sweet, fruity, apple, pear, suddenly tart, very warm and mouth-filling. Looks a little coarse.
Finish: spicy, liquorice, apples, pears, tart fruity finish.
    • Finish
spicy, liquorice, apples, pears, tart fruity finish.

  4. Xaver did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

For the price, ne clear recommendation. Sweet and alcohol at 46%, goes well with it.
    • Nose
Great nose ... Haribo Gummibärchen, some pepper and a nice helping of vanilla. A bit of lime in the background, which brings some change to the sweet preamble. Honey is getting stronger, as is the juicy pear, which pushes forward and forward. A cooling, fresh mint is in the background and plays along nicely. With some time in the colleague becomes "fat". It smells really like leather fat.
    • Taste
Soft, sweet start with subtle bitterness. Marshmallow, wine gummy bears and breakfast cereals. The alcohol tingles something and the 46% fit here exactly. With the second sip, the cooked fruit will get through better. Pear, apple and green grapes. Hazelnut oil lubricates the story 'beautifully.
    • Finish
Short to medium. Syrup-like sweetness with subtle bitterness of hazelnut. But the abridged departure makes nothing, because for 30 € / liter, you can even refill quickly!
