  1. whiskydealer scored this whisky 85 points Member Senior

Old grain whiskeys aged 35+ often have similar top notes. Vanilla, Glue, Oak.

The Cameronbridge basically fits into this scheme.

    Nose: Sweetish-spicy, grain, vanilla
Palate: Vanilla, oak, pear, tannin, shortbread (especially with just a small sip), glue.

    Notes of a blind tasting
    • Nose
Lots of herbs, heather, hay, grain, floral notes, subtly sweet in the background, then a beautiful fruit basket emerges, tropical fruits like mango, but also other light fruits. After a while, nice wood notes appear. Very nice nose! which causes very long sniffing
    • Taste
soft and creamy, full-bodied, sweet, herbs, oak, vanilla, caramel, fruity wood notes, very complex and stimulates saliva
    • Finish
fruity sweet, oak, very intense. The aromas and impressions on the palate are also reflected here. The aromas stay on the tongue for a long time

  3. pianoman scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

    • Nose
Round. Pickled pears, vanilla cream, coconut flakes. Popcorn. A hint of solvent. Dry wood, a hint of pepper.
    • Taste
Fruity, spicy. Fruit salad with honey and chopped almonds. Overripe peaches. White chocolate and black pepper.

  4. FritzeKrautman scored this whisky 89 points Connoisseur

A grain, no doubt. A very sweet drop, which positively surprised. Only a subtle, almost pleasant bitterness. At most, the old age can be detected only limited, it is more of the fresh, sparkling variety.
    • Nose
In the beginning solvent with a transition in licorice. Then increasingly sweeter, molasses and coffee. Later dusty, then apple, pear and overripe bright grapes. Finally, tobacco and light chocolate.
    • Taste
Sweet starting, pear, then briefly the solvents, berry fruits. Alcohol present, somewhat peppery but well integrated.
    • Finish
Long finish, only little bitterness inspiring bitterness. Again the berry fruits, molasses, sweet gum, later again apple.
